“Explore. Discover. Understand.” That’s the theme for the 2005 annual Community Leaders Briefing being held at 9 a.m. June 17 at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

KSC Director Jim Kennedy will meet with various leaders from local counties and the State of Florida to discuss a variety of KSC and NASA activities. Topics will include updates on Space Shuttle Discovery’s Return to Flight mission, the Launch Services Program, International Space Station Processing and KSC’s role in the Vision for Space Exploration.

Attendees will meet at the Dr. Kurt H. Debus Conference Facility for registration and a continental breakfast. The briefing will begin at 9:30 a.m. Following the briefing, guests will have the opportunity to see exhibits at the KSC Visitor Complex, including the newly renovated Launch Status Center.

A variety of community leaders, business executives, state and local government officials and community organizations have been invited for the event.
