(Washington, DC) – Today, Mark Geyer, senior advisor to National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) associate administrator Bob Cabana, and former center director at the Agency’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, passed away. Mr. Geyer began his NASA career at Johnson Space Center in 1990 and later served as its 12th director.

We lost a remarkable leader and good friend in Mark Geyer. Mr. Geyer’s impressive career and integral role at NASA will have a lasting impact for years to come. We are forever grateful to him for his over-30 years of service to his country and its endeavors in space. His spirit, passion, and dedication to human spaceflight will continue to inspire rising generations as they pursue exploration and discovery.”
