MOFFETT FIELD, Calif. – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. will join more than 500 world-renowned researchers and scientists at 10 a.m. PDT Thursday May 23, 2013, to release a groundbreaking call to action on climate change. The event will be held in Building 152 in the NASA Research Park, Moffett Field, Calif., and marks Sustainable Silicon Valley’s fourth annual Water, Energy and Smart Technology (WEST) Summit and Showcase of Solutions for Planetary Sustainability at NASA Ames Research Center.
Governor Brown’s schedule for the day includes:
07:45 a.m. Registration opens at Building 152, NASA Research Park
10:00 a.m. NASA Ames Director S. Pete Worden introduces Gov. Brown
10:05 a.m. UC Berkeley professor Anthony Barnosky presents scientists’ consensus statement to Gov. Brown
10:10 a.m. Gov. Brown address
10:30 a.m. Sustainable Silicon Valley President Marianna Grossman makes presentation to Gov. Brown
10:32 a.m. Media availability with Gov. Brown and scientists
10:45 a.m. Gov. Brown departs

Media also need to check in at the registration desk in Building 152 on the day of the event.
Media should enter the NASA Research Park, Moffett Field, through the main security gate. Government-issued photo ID is required for entry. Take Clark Road to McCord Ave and turn right. McCord Ave. becomes Dailey Road, Building 152 is on right and parking is on left.
