Loretta Hidalgo and George Whitesides, the
twenty-something co-founders of Yuri’s Night: The
World Space Party, will be interviewed live on Dr.
David M. Livingston’s “Business Without Boundaries”
radio program on April 9, 2002 at 8 p.m. Mountain
Standard Time.

Dr. Livingston’s program is a perfect compliment to
the Yuri’s Night phenomenon since his program is
broadcast via its home station in Phoenix, Arizona on
1100 AM as well as via a global webcast, bringing
together both the local and international audience
with a single action.

Phoenix is also the home of a 2002 Yuri’s Night Party.
Please go to www.YurisNight.net for more information
on this and other parties.

Whitesides and Hidalgo head a team of space
professionals and advocates from organizations such as
the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), NASDA (the
Japanese Space Agency), the Boeing Company, Caltech,
Sea Launch, the Nigeria Space Agency and Scientec
(Costa Rica).

George Whitesides is a graduate of Princeton
University, a former Fulbright scholar and the project
director of Permission to Dream, an international
astronomy charity.

Loretta Hidalgo graduated from Stanford University,
has worked at several NASA centers and serves as the
North American Representative to the United Nations
Programme on Space Applications.

Dr. Livingston feels that “it is very exciting for
‘Business Without Boundaries’ to be doing a show for
Yuri’s Night which is honoring Yuri Gagarin, the first
human to orbit Earth. As ‘Business Without
Boundaries’ leads the way to an expanded commercial
space industry, to full-fledged space tourism, and the
development of a truly space-faring culture, it is
important that we appreciate and honor our history,
building upon it for a strong and productive future.
Yuri’s Night helps give us this focus.”
