WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Sherwood Boehlert (R-New Hartford), Chairman of the House Science Committee, today was presented with “Aerospace Wings of Liberty” award by the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) for recognition of his years of support to the aerospace industry.
AIA represents the nation’s major manufacturers of commercial, military and business aircraft, helicopters, aircraft engines, missiles, spacecraft, and related components and equipment.
“Congressman Boehlert has made significant contributions to the U.S. aerospace industry which is playing a key role in the nation’s economic viability and national security,” said John Douglass, President of AIA. “Year after year, the Chairman demonstrates his leadership, integrity, and patriotism in the House of Representatives in support of our industry.”
