In response to the BNSC Call for project proposals for the Interim funding round of the S@tcom programme BNSC is pleased to inform you that 13 proposals were received by the closing date of 11th June 2003.
The S@tcom Evaluation Panel (SEP) has completed its preliminary assessment of the proposals. The competition was very demanding in this round and after careful consideration the SEP has requested the following 6 project consortia to submit detailed project proposals for further evaluation within the next two weeks:
- Receiver for High Integrity Navigation Operations (RHINO) Project – Raytheon
- Thales UK-based GNSS Ground Segment Project – Thales
- Broadcast Based Broadband (B3) Proof of Concept Demonstrator – BT Exact
- HALO – Humanitarian Aid Locator for Logistic Operations – Nottingham Scientific Ltd
- HotSpotTV/MPEG 4 services for Wireless Hotspots – Central Research Laboratories Ltd
- National Navigation Initiative/ Follow on Payload Simulator- Astrium.
