CLEVELAND –Two astronauts who traveled aboard space shuttle Discovery to the International Space Station will be at NASA’s Glenn Research Center on Monday, April 25 to share their experience with Glenn’s employees.
Shuttle mission pilot Eric Boe and mission specialist Steve Bowen will give an overview of their mission at 2 p.m. in the Administration Building auditorium. An informal media opportunity will follow their presentation.
Discovery’s 39th and final mission launched from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Fla. on Feb. 24 to deliver to the station the Permanent Multipurpose Module Leonardo and an external stowage platform as well as equipment and supplies. Also aboard Discovery were Glenn experiments and hardware. During a nine-day stay on the station, Bowen performed two spacewalks for maintenance work and installation of new components.
