NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) has been the Agency’s lead center for microgravity physical science research for many years.  Over 200 successful spaceflight experiments have been developed, managed and supported by GRC.  Located next to Cleveland Hopkins Airport, GRC maintains various ground-based aerospace research facilities for space and aeronautics, including the largest drop tower in the United States, the largest space vacuum chamber at the Plumbrook Station, three large wind tunnels, and various space flight and aeronautics development facilities.

The ASGSR tour will focus on GRCs physical sciences, human exercise countermeasures leadership and research capabilities.  Tour stops will include a visit to the 5.2 second drop tower, exercise countermeasures laboratory, various on-going ISS operations for fluid physics, combustion, advanced communications research, along with touring one of wind tunnels, and the simulated lunar operations lab.  Flight payloads for supporting ISS and other spaceflight research will be on display.
