Analex Corporation (Amex: NLX), a leading provider of mission-critical professional services to federal government clients, today announced that Charles W. Floyd, Vice President of its Southeast Operations and manager of its Expendable Launch Vehicle Integrated Support (ELVIS) Contract Program, has received the prestigious Public Service Medal from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

With this honor, NASA recognizes Mr. Floyd’s proven key leadership of the ELVIS program. In his nomination, it was noted that Mr. Floyd has produced outstanding results in mission success, technical decision-making, customer satisfaction, and contractual/business management areas. Under Mr. Floyd’s leadership, the ELVIS team demonstrates vigorous dedication to their tasks and a focus on customer satisfaction vital in today’s government contract environment.

“We congratulate Charlie Floyd for receiving this significant honor from NASA. Charlie is a veteran of the space program having served as a NASA employee and as a contractor for more than 39 years. His exemplary leadership of the ELVIS program is well deserving of this high honor,” said Sterling Phillips, Chairman and CEO of Analex.

Analex and the ELVIS team provide a broad range of expendable launch vehicle (ELV) support services for the NASA Launch Services Program at John F. Kennedy Space Center, Florida; Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida; Vandenberg Air Force Base, California; and other remote launch site locations. The tasks performed for NASA under this contract cover the full life cycle of ELV mission support from mission planning through post-flight performance assessments. In addition, at Vandenberg, Analex is also responsible for maintenance of NASA facilities, mission support planning and customer support to payload processing activities.

It was also noted that Mr. Floyd has expended significant time and energy providing support to the community. Under his guidance, the ELVIS program has sponsored or participated in the Brevard County Central Brevard Sharing Center, United Way Campaigns, Toys for Tots, Support our Troops, Thanksgiving Food Drives, and FIRST Robotics Competitions.
