The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) said May 24 that it has hired Korn/Ferry International to aid in the search for a new executive director to replace retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Robert Dickman, who is stepping down after eight years with the Reston, Va.-based association. The search is expected to be completed by October.

AIAA President Michael Griffin, the former NASA administrator, praised Dickman’s service. “During Bob’s tenure, AIAA grew in strategic areas including corporate membership, international outreach, and an increased focus on the next generation of aerospace professionals, with membership in each of these areas increasing,” he said in a statement.
