AGI and USSTRATCOM sign an agreement for space situational awareness (SSA) services and data. The SSA Sharing agreement enables AGI, including its Commercial Space Operations Center (ComSpOC), and USSTRATCOM to exchange SSA information and services in a streamlined process.

This official agreement codifies the established relationship between the SSA operational components of ComSpOC and the 18th Space Control Squadron. As part of an effort to enhance SSA cooperation, this streamlines the procedures for AGI to request specific information gathered by Air Force Space Command’s 18th Space Control Squadron at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. Whereas this process previously could have taken as long as 3-4 months, the established relationship shortens the timeline to as quickly as one day.

Agreements like these lay the foundation that allows the United States to share information with allies, partners, operators and SSA providers in a responsible and cooperative fashion.

AGI has already had the opportunity to exercise this SSA sharing agreement in support of recent space/SSA events.
