WASHINGTON – The Commission on the Future of the United States Aerospace
Industry will hold its fifth public meeting on Tuesday, September 17, 2002.
The meeting will be held in the Auditorium of the Herbert C. Hoover
Building, headquarters for the U.S. Department of Commerce, located on
Constitution Avenue between 14th and 15th Streets, N.W., Washington, D.C.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 3:00 pm. and will
adjourn by 5:30 p.m.
The Commission will not receive testimony. The meeting will consist of
Commissioner discussion only.
The public is encouraged to attend, and must bring photo identification to
enter the building.

The Commission on the Future of the United States Aerospace Industry was
congressionally mandated to study the future of the United States aerospace
industry in the global economy, particularly in relationship to United
States national security. The Commission will also assess the future
importance of the domestic aerospace industry for the economic and national
security of the United States. The Commission will release its final report
in November.
