The recently appointed Chairman of
the Commission to Assess the Future of the United States Aerospace Industry is
the latest addition to the International Space Symposium program.
The
symposium is scheduled for October 29-31 at the Reagan International Trade
Center in Washington.

The Honorable Robert S. “Bob” Walker, named by President George W. Bush to
head the commission, has confirmed that he will deliver keynote remarks on
October 30th at 1:30 p.m.
Walker is a former Congressman and Chairman of the
House of Representatives Science Committee.
He is currently Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer of The Wexler Group.

The International Space Symposium is presented by the Space Foundation, in
association with Space News and the American Astronautical Society.
NASA is
the Host National Space Agency for the event.

Commenting on Walker’s participation, Space Foundation President and CEO
Elliot Pulham said, “The appearance of such distinguished speakers as Bob
Walker at the International Space Symposium marks the significance of the
forum for our industry.
No one could be more timely and relevant as a
speaker, and we are very pleased Mr. Walker can address us on the future of
the United States Aerospace Industry.”
The symposium is built around two and
one half days of in-depth discussion, networking and deal-making by a select
group of space industry leaders including CEO’s, heads of agencies,
financiers, managers, underwriters, customers and regulators.
To date,
representatives from 30 nations have agreed to play a role on the agenda.
