Aerojet intends to hire 25 engineers in Huntsville, Ala., over the next few months as the Sacramento, Calif.-based rocket-propulsion company seeks to expand its presence in a city home to many of its NASA, U.S. Defense Department and industry customers.
Aerojet said Dec. 16 it is seeking to hire Huntsville engineers with technical expertise in solid, liquid and gel propulsion, warheads, specialty metals and fire suppression systems.
NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, the agency’s lead center for rocket development, is in Huntsville. The U.S. Army and the Pentagon’s Missile Defense Agency also have a large presence there.
