LOS ANGELES AIR FORCE BASE, El Segundo, Calif. – The Space and Missile Systems Center’s Military Satellite Communications Systems directorate will hold a joint pre-launch media conference Wednesday, April 18, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m, MDT / 1:30 – 2:30 PDT / 4:30 – 5:30 EDT at the Broadmoor Hotel, Colorado Springs, Colo.
Representatives from MILSATCOM, SMC’s Launch Systems directorate, Lockheed Martin, United Launch Alliance, and the 45th Space Wing will brief the media on the second Advanced Extremely High Frequency the launch scheduled for no earlier than May 3.

The AEHF constellation is a joint-service satellite communications system that will provide survivable, global, secure, protected and jam-resistant communications for high-priority military ground, sea and air assets.
Currently, AEHF is on contract to field a total of four satellites with two additional satellites in negotiations.
