AAS High Energy Astrophysics Division joins the APS April Meeting

From the physics of black holes and quasars to the new successes in
predicting the weather on the Sun, High Energy Astrophysics is
leading the way to many astounding discoveries.
Scientists will gather to share their latest findings and discoveries
at the ” Meeting of the High Energy Astrophysics Division of the AAS”
which will be held from April 20-23 , 2002 at the Albuquerque
Convertion Center, in Albuquerque, NM. The meeting is held jointly
with the Division of Astrophysics/American Physical Society meeting.

Over 115 different sessions are scheduled, 31 of which are directly
organized by the HEAD. There will be several press releases and
press conferences, during the four-day meeting, which is expected
to draw 2000 astronomers and physicists. Additional information
on the HEAD-sponsored press activities will be provided in a second
media advisory to be sent out in early April.

Registration for the media is free and can be arranged by filling out
the form at the bottom of this advisory and sending to outgoing HEAD
