NASA is placing a renewed emphasis on the use of partnerships to enable the
most effective use of resources available in the greater aerospace
community, including private, university, interagency and international.
The use of creative partnership vehicles is being encouraged in order to
match total community capabilities to the requirements of NASA’s ongoing
and future programs.
Programs that are effectively utilizing partnerships include the
International Space Station, Space Transportation Systems, Mars
Exploration, Earth Observing Systems, and technology developments such
distributed systems, information systems, bio-technology and
nano-technology.
The 40th Goddard Memorial Symposium will examine technical accomplishments
within these programs, highlighting their effective use of partnerships and
reflecting on challenges, successes and opportunities for the future.
