For its second stop in California, the Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) Mars Experience Bus is traveling to the heart of Silicon Valley to provide students with a glimpse of what it means to be a part of Generation Beyond—the generation of the first humans that will travel to Mars and beyond.

The Lockheed Martin Mars Experience Bus will visit the NASA Ames Research Center Visitor Center on Sept. 24 and 25 at Moffett Field in Mountain View, California, just 15 minutes northwest of San Jose off U.S. 101 at the “Moffett Blvd/NASA Parkway” exit.

Free tickets for rides are available during the Visitor Center’s opening hours from 12 to 4 p.m. To guarantee a ride, attendees should register in advance at: http://lockheedmartingenbeyond.eventbrite.com.

Having long played a role in space exploration, Lockheed Martin launched Generation Beyond to inspire future engineers, scientists and innovators using in-class curriculum and digital resources. Can’t attend in person? Generation Beyond’s learning resources, including engaging lesson plans with educator guides, family activities, and student exploration of space missions are available at www.generationbeyondinschool.com.
