Five startup companies will present their game changing Earth observation services delivered by the European Copernicus programme on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform at the SAP booth at Mobile Word Congress (MWC 2016).
Earth observation data provides crucial economic and ecological information to an array of industry. Sectors ranging from energy, transport, logistics and construction to aeronautics, healthcare and telecommunications profit significantly from this global flow of information. Here, cloud platforms like SAP HANA are highly effective at processing huge quantities of data and integrating it with the industry’s dynamic business statistics in order to offer new digital services. This presents tremendous potential for start-ups, as well.
On behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA) and in cooperation with SAP, AZO pre-selected 30 promising teams from its portfolio of developers originating from Copernicus Masters and Space App Camp participants as well as the ESA BIC programme. From among them, five teams from all over Europe were selected by an expert jury and invited to participate in the Space App Camp, taking place from 20 – 24 February 2016 in Barcelona.
Curious to discover their disruptive mobile services? On 22 February, after a public pitch of all five teams at the MWC the winner of the Space App Camp Barcelona 2016 will be awarded.
Meet us and our startup companies us at MWC16 at the SAP booth, Hall 3 Stand 3M41.
