Raytheon Company (NYSE:RTN) announced today the appointment of Kevin Neifert as chief information officer (CIO) for the company, effective January 1, 2016. Neifert, 54, most recently served as CIO of Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems.

Neifert will report directly to Rebecca Rhoads as part of Raytheon’s Global Business Services team. He replaces Rhoads as the company CIO, a role in which she served in for 14 years. Rhoads will continue to serve as president, Global Business Services, Raytheon Company.

Neifert joined Raytheon in 2005 as vice president of Engineering at Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems, where he was responsible for engineers, technicians and support personnel involved in the development of advanced radar and electro-optical sensor systems.
