Members of the media are invited to attend the “15 Years of Science with Chandra” symposium that will be held November 18-21, 2014, in Boston, Mass.

Conference website: http://cxc.harvard.edu/symposium_2014/

Over 200 scientists are expected to present the latest results from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory — covering such topics as black holes, exploded stars, and the composition of the universe. In addition, several of the astronauts from STS-93, the Space Shuttle mission that launched Chandra into space on July 23, 1999, will be in attendance.

Registration for members of the science media is free, but travel arrangements are the responsibility of the individual. The symposium is being held at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, but there are many other lodging options in the area.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Megan Watzke (see below).
