The Space Generation Congress (SGC) is the first annual meeting of the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) held in conjunction with the International Astronautical Congress. SGAC’s premier event, SGC, aims to facilitate conversations between industry, students and young professionals, allowing delegates to learn and engage with leading professionals in the industry. This year’s congress will be held from 25th to 27th of September in Toronto, Canada with 130 participants including top university students to leading young professionals with a passion for space.

This year, delegates will be exposed to space issues from five main themes:

– On Orbit Servicing – Commercial Opportunities with Security Implications
– CubeSat Swarms – Communication Networks and Policy Challenges
– Ethic and Policy of new Human Space Exploration Strategies
– Entrepreneurship and its Role in Space Industry
– Earth Observation for Maritime Services

SGAC aims to promote the voice of the next generation of space industry leaders through exposing members to different perspectives on space issues from the world’s leading space organisations as well as exposure to industry leaders.

The Space Generation Closing Gala Dinner

The SGC Closing Gala Dinner provides an exclusive networking opportunity for delegates and the space community. The cultural evening will feature delicious local Canadian food and the chance to hear from NASA Administrator, Charles Bolden. This year SGC’s Closing Gala Dinner is open to all members of the space community, and will be the culmination of three days of hard work done at the 13th Space Generation Congress.

This fundraising event, the SGC 2014 Closing Gala Dinner, that will be held at the Ontario Science Center in Toronto, Canada on Saturday 27th of September, and will assist in raising funds for the continued development of the Space Generation Advisory Council, a non profit organisation that represents young professionals and students in the space sector.
