The Spaceship Company, the Mojave, Calif.-based joint production venture of Virgin Galactic and Scaled Composites, said March 5 that it has qualified three suppliers to fabricate structural composite components for the WhiteKnightTwo and SpaceShipTwo suborbital space tourism vehicles.
The three qualified primary aerospace structure suppliers are: Applied Aerospace Structures Corp. of Stockton, Calif.; GFMI Aerospace & Defense of Fountain Valley, Calif.; and Triumph Aerospace Systems of Wichita, Kan.
