The Commercial Spaceflight Federation congratulates the entire Virgin Galactic team on their second powered flight of SpaceShipTwo from the Mojave Air & Spaceport today. This marked the 29th test of the vehicle and the second rocket-powered flight. The rocket motor burn duration and vehicle altitude and speed targets were all met.

“The continued successful outcomes of these powered flight tests are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the teams at Virgin Galactic,” stated CSF President Michael Lopez-Alegria. “As the testing phase of SpaceShipTwo and many of the other vehicles progress, we come one step closer to frequent access to space, and the game-changing potential it holds. CSF congratulates the teams at Virgin Galactic, Scaled Composites, Sierra Nevada Space Systems and the Mojave Air & Space Port for their success, and we look forward to many more.”
