CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — NASA Administrator Charles Bolden will be available to media during a visit to the agency’s Kennedy Space Center, Fla., on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. EDT.
Media are invited to film Bolden and Kennedy Space Center Director Robert Cabana as they tour the new mobile launcher and talk about the Space Launch System, the rocket that will take astronauts farther into space than ever before, create high-quality jobs here at home, and provide the cornerstone for America’s future human space exploration efforts.
U.S. media who want to cover the event must apply by 4 p.m. Oct. 7. New international media accreditation for this event is closed. All accreditation requests need to be submitted online at: https://media.ksc.nasa.gov
Media need to be at Kennedy’s news center by 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 11 for transportation to the event.
NASA announced plans for the development of the SLS in September. It will carry NASA’s Orion spacecraft, cargo, equipment and science experiments to space — providing a safe, affordable and sustainable means of reaching the moon, asteroids and other destinations in the solar system.
