MOFFETT FIELD, Calif. Bobby Braun, NASA’s chief technologist from NASA Headquarters, Washington, will hold a media briefing at 1 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, to discuss innovation and technology in NASA’s future and the important role that NASA Ames Research Center will play to make the future a reality.
At 44, Braun is one of the youngest senior leaders at NASA Headquarters. Before coming to Washington in February of this year, Braun taught aerospace engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, for the past nine years. Prior to becoming a professor, Braun worked for 15 years as a researcher and engineer on Mars missions at NASA’s Langley Research Center, Hampton, Va. Braun is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, with advanced degrees from George Washington University and Stanford University.
