CLEVELAND — NASA’s Glenn Research Center has selected JDD, Inc., of Highland Hills, Ohio, to provide janitorial services at the center.

The firm-fixed price, performance based contract begins on February 1, 2009 with a two-year base period, followed by three one-year options. The value of this contract is approximately $12 million. This is a follow-on acquisition to an existing contract with JDD, Inc. for similar type services.

JDD, Inc. is a small business HUB Zone (Historically Underutilized Business Zone) firm. The procurement was competed as a HUB Zone set-aside which restricts competition to only HUB Zone certified firms. The Hub Zone Program is designed to increase employment opportunities, investment, and economic development in HUB Zone areas.
