Erin Hatch was recently hired as the legislative liaison for civil and commercial space government relations for Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp.  Prior to joining Ball Aerospace, she worked as a legislative assistant to Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.), supporting him in his activities in science and technology, and in commercial and civilian space sectors.

Prior to her work on Capitol Hill, Hatch was a space and technology policy analyst at the Congressional Research Service. She also worked for the Space Studies Board at the National Academy of Sciences, the Office of Space Science at NASA Headquarters and the Space Policy Institute at the George Washington University.

Hatch also taught high school math and physics while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon, Central Africa. She holds a masters degree in science, technology, and public policy from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in physics from Centenary College of Louisiana.
