EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (May 9, 2013) — The Aerospace Corporation has announced changes in leadership within three of its business units, Engineering and Technology Group (ETG), Space Systems Group (SSG), and Systems Planning, Engineering and Quality (SPEQ).
Allen Compito, principal director for the Reconnaissance Systems Directorate, National Space Group (NSG), has been named general manager for the Electronics and Sensors Division, ETG. In his new position, Compito will lead and coordinate a bi-coastal organization that provides ETG support for sensor systems and electronics engineering and evaluation.
Andrea Amram, general manager, Developmental Planning and Architectures Division, SPEQ has been named general manager for the Environmental Satellite Systems Division, Space Program Operations, Space Systems Group (SSG). In her new position, Amram will manage the technical and programmatic support to Air Force space acquisition programs for terrestrial and space weather, will conduct assessments at key program milestones, will advise the Air Force on the executability of its programs, and will architect and plan for future weather systems.
Todd Nygren will assume Amram’s prior role of general manager for the Developmental Planning and Architectures Division, SPEQ. Nygren was previously the associate general manager, Systems Engineering Division. In his new role, Nygren will lead and support the Space and Missile Systems Center in the design, development, and analysis of future space, ground, and launch system concepts to support the warfighter.
