The 2006 annual Community Leaders Briefing, which will focus on many of the space industry’s most important aspects, is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. May 12 at the NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
KSC Director Jim Kennedy will meet with various leaders from throughout Florida to discuss a variety of KSC and NASA activities. Topics will include updates on the Space Shuttle, International Space Station, Launch Services and Constellation Programs. Participants also will discuss KSC’s role in continuing the Vision for Space Exploration.
Attendees will meet at the Dr. Kurt H. Debus Conference Facility for registration and a buffet breakfast. The briefing will begin at 9 a.m. Following the briefing, guests will have the opportunity to see exhibits at the KSC Visitor Complex and view the latest IMAX movie, “Magnificent Desolation.”
A variety of community leaders, business executives, state and local government officials and community organizations have been invited.
