The United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket carrying the AEHF-5 mission for the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center is delayed, due to a vehicle battery failure discovered during final processing. Additional time is needed for the technical team to complete the evaluation of the issue and replace the battery. Launch of the AEHF-5 mission is now targeted for no earlier than Tuesday, July 9, 2019.

As a result, the media teleconference initially scheduled for Monday, June 24 will be rescheduled for a later date.

Questions regarding the AEHF-5 mission or the media teleconference should be directed to the Los Angeles Air Force Base public affairs office at smcpa.media@us.af.mil.
