Commercial Spaceflight Federation President, Eric Stallmer, issued the following statement today as the Senate approved the nomination of James Morhard as Deputy Administrator of NASA.
The Commercial Spaceflight Federation extends sincere congratulations and a warm welcome to James Morhard as the new Deputy Administrator of NASA. Mr. Morhard brings considerable policy and management expertise to the job, and we look forward to working with him in this pivotal role at NASA.
The industry echoes Mr. Morhard’s support for expanding public-private partnerships, acquisition reform, increased strategic investments and enhanced innovation to further our nation’s space collective space vision. We are extremely appreciative of the continued support from NASA leadership and the Administration to expand our nation’s space program and the critical [important] recognition of the private sector as a strategic partner.
