Alliant Techsystems received NASA’s prestigious 2005 George M. Low award for organizational quality and excellence at the 20th annual NASA-Industry Conference on Excellence in Alexandria, Virginia. NASA Administrator, Mike Griffin, presented the award. This is the third time ATK has been honored by NASA with the George M. Low award.

Established by NASA in 1985, the George M. Low award is presented annually to industry contractors who demonstrate exceptional achievement in the areas of product performance, continuous improvement and innovation.

Low is a legendary figure for his vision and his role in developing our nation’s space programs,” said Ron Dittemore, President of ATK Thiokol. “It is a tremendous honor for us to accept this award that bears his name. This award reflects the dedication of a talented team of employees who give it their best every day, working as one team with NASA, to ensure the success of our nation’s space exploration programs.”
