The following Aerospace leadership change is effective today.

 

Randy Kendall has assumed the role of vice president for Space Launch Operations, succeeding Ray Johnson who retired in June. Kendall is responsible for Aerospace support to all Air Force launch, range, and satellite control programs, including the Delta IV, Atlas V and Falcon 9 Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicles, EELV new entrants, the Spacelift Range, and the Air Force Satellite Control Network. He has responsibility for the company’s launch operations at Cape Canaveral, Fla., and Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. He is also responsible for the management of civil and commercial contracts involving launch operations.

Prior to this assignment, Kendall was the vice president of Special Studies. Kendall was also the vice president for Civil and Commercial Operations, responsible for more than $80 million in annual revenue from civil and commercial business. Prior to holding this position, Kendall was general manager of the Launch Systems Division. His responsibilities included leading Aerospace systems engineering support to the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicles programs, as well as managing Space Launch Operations’ support to NASA, the FAA, and other commercial programs.
