NASA has awarded a modification to Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies Inc. (SGT) of Greenbelt, Maryland, to continue work on the Geophysics, Geodynamics and Space Geodesy (GGSG) Support Services contract.

The maximum ordering value of the GGSG contract will increase to $76.8 million. The previous amount was $49.5 million. The increase in the maximum ordering value of the contract will allow critical milestones to be completed, existing task orders to be continued and potential new task orders to be issued during contract year four, which begins Aug. 1.

This contract supports a wide array of geodynamic, geomagnetic, and atmospheric investigations of solar system bodies such as Earth, Venus, Mars, and Mercury. Among the requirements for these investigations are instrument development; software development and maintenance; data collection, scientific data analysis, modeling, and interpretation; and reports and presentations of scientific results.

SGT provides support to investigators associated with a wide range of current programs and projects

Contracted services will be performed at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, and at the SGT facility in Greenbelt.
