CLEVELAND — NASA’s Glenn Research Center will share in the excitement of inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers during the Selfridge Air Show in New Baltimore, Mich., Aug. 20-21. Visitors will be able to explore science exhibits, participate in fun activities and talk with Glenn employees about NASA’s missions and educational opportunities.
The exhibit will feature the popular “Picture Yourself in Space” photo booth, where visitors can have their free souvenir photo taken as an astronaut; the solar system scale, where visitors can find out how much they would weigh during a rocket launch, in space, or on another planet; and free NASA educational material. Eva, Glenn’s 7-foot-tall inflatable astronaut, will also make a special appearance each day.
NASA’s exhibit will be open on Saturday Aug. 20 and Sunday Aug. 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibit area is wheelchair accessible.
Admission and parking for the air show are free.
