2 Contracts Propel GMV to Be Dubbed ‘Most Comprehensive GEO Satellite Ground Software Provider in World’
ROCKVILLE, Md. – GMV (www.gmv.com) signed two contracts with Intelsat, Ltd., the leading provider of global Fixed Satellite Services, offering satellite flight dynamics software support for some of Intelsat’s advanced satellites. These contracts are the first Intelsat signed with GMV, taking GMV to a new level globally. GMV’s list of GEO satellite operators includes all of the other large commercial operators, as well as many of the medium and smaller-sized operators around the world.

GMV will primarily provide the software to support the on-station operations, maneuver planning and calibration, as well as, the engineering, software development, and maintenance support to Intelsat’s fleet of Boeing 702 spacecraft. These spacecraft use a complex station-keeping strategy, which includes four maneuvers per day from the ion propulsion thrusters onboard the satellite.
