WASHINGTON – House Science Committee Chairman Sherwood Boehlert (R-NY) today praised President Bush’s nomination of Dr. Sharon Hays to be Associate Director for Science at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). Dr. Hays currently serves as OSTP Chief of Staff.
“I’m delighted that the President has nominated Sharon Hays to be Associate Director for Science at the Office of Science and Technology Policy,” Boehlert said. “One of my first actions as Chairman of the Science Committee was to promote Dr. Hays to be the Staff Director of the Research Subcommittee. Everything she did in that post confirmed the wisdom of my decision. I’m pleased that OSTP will continue to benefit from Sharon’s thoughtful, sensible and thorough approach to science policy.”
