NASA’s Science Mission Directorate has selected the University of Arizona, Tucson, Ariz., to support efforts to develop basic theory needed for the agency’s space astrophysics programs.

The research also supports the Vision for Space Exploration, NASA’s long- term plan to return astronauts to the moon and extend exploration to Mars and beyond into the solar system.

The period of performance for this research has a maximum duration of three years. Funding for this award is a maximum of $293,230.
