NASA announced R.W. Beck Inc., of Denver, was selected for a construction phase services, value engineering and total building commissioning services contract at the agency’s Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, Ala.
The fixed price contract has a total maximum value of $10,533,673.
This procurement provides a prime contractor to perform services in support of Marshall’s facilities office. Construction phase services include: providing owner construction management surveillances and inspections; providing test monitoring, inspection and documentation to verify construction and maintenance are according to specifications. The contractor also participates in project design reviews to assure constructability using value engineering principals. The contractor serves as total building commissioning agent to manage and direct commissioning for new buildings.
