The Launch Services Program office at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center has exercised the first of two possible contract options to the Analex Corporation for the expendable launch vehicle integrated support contract.
The extension is for three years. It provides for ground services and flight technical support in the areas of engineering; safety and mission assurance; facilities; payloads; launch vehicle/payload integration; launch operations; systems management and business services. These services will be provided at the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., and at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif.
Analex is headquartered in Alexandria, Va. Its major subcontractors are Science Applications International Corporation, Houston and a.i. solutions, Lanham, Md.
The value of the fixed-price/cost-plus award fee contract option is $65,014,276. The contract performance period is Oct. 1, 2005, through Sept. 30, 2008.
