NASA’s Kennedy Space Center officials will visit Howard Middle School, a NASA Explorer School in Orlando, Fla., on Friday, Nov. 4 to share the Vision for Space Exploration with the next generation of explorers. The presentation will begin at 1 p.m. at the school, located at 800 E. Robinson Street. Howard was selected as a NASA Explorer School in May.

“NASA is implementing a bold, new plan to take us back to the moon and beyond. Tomorrow’s space explorers are in today’s classrooms,” said Jack Fox, KSC deputy director of External Relations. “NASA remains committed to working with our schools to capture the imagination of our next generation of explorers and encourage them to take an interest in math, science, engineering and technology.”

NASA officials will talk with students about our destiny as explorers and NASA’s steppingstone approach to exploring Earth, the moon, Mars and beyond. They will also discuss the many ways space impacts our lives and how people and machines rely on each other in space.
