What: The Public Service Recognition Week luncheon honoring federal, state
and local government employees in Madison County will feature Jim Kennedy,
deputy director of Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., as
keynote speaker.
Set for launch Aug. 31, 2001, from Alaska, Starshine 3 will orbit the Earth
for several years. During this time, participating students will visually
track the satellite and report their findings on the project’s Web site.

Why: Public Service Recognition Week honors federal, state and local
