The undocking of a Russian Progress supply spacecraft
from the International Space Station and the arrival of a new
Progress ship will be covered live June 25 and June 29 on
NASA Television.
The Progress 7, which delivered supplies to the station
several months ago, will undock from the Zvezda service
module’s aft docking port at around 3 a.m. EDT on June 25.
Coverage of the undocking and available television through
Russian ground stations will begin on NASA TV at 2:30 a.m.
EDT.
On June 26, the new Progress 8 supply vehicle will be
launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan for a
three-day ride to the orbiting research laboratory. There
will be no coverage of the launch on NASA TV.
On Saturday, June 29, Progress 8 will link up to the Zvezda
module at around 2:20 a.m. EDT. Commentary and coverage will
begin on NASA TV at 2 a.m. EDT.
NASA TV can be found on GE-2, Transponder 9C, vertical
polarization at 85 degrees West longitude, 3880 MHz, with
audio at 6.8 MHz.
