One of the nation’s leading space news sites – with more than 14 millions
hits last year – has gotten a makeover. Now, getting the latest news,
features, photos, video and other products from NASA’s Marshall Space Flight
Center in Huntsville, Ala., is easier than ever.

The “Marshall Space Flight Center News” Web site, at

http://www.msfc.nasa.gov/NEWS

offers a bold, new visual scheme, improved navigation and new, useful
features will help make your visit an efficient and informative stop for
both news professionals and the public.

The redesign includes more site search capability, providing quicker access
to more than 2,500 Web pages — from news stories and media advisories to
fact sheets, technology summaries, downloadable images, videos and
soundbites, and helpful NASA and space industry hotlinks. The News site’s
improved navigation tools, including a revised toolbar and quick-links on
every page, reduce the number of “clicks,” quickly taking you to the news
you need.

Other new aspects of the site include a regularly updated, eye-catching
photo feature, highlighting Marshall Center research and discoveries; the
Marshall Center events calendar, nameew e-mail subscriber service to
automatically notify you of the latest news stories and changes that provide
easier accessibility for those with visual and hearing impairments.

The News site provides a gateway to in-depth news pages on NASA’s Space
Launch Initiative, Chandra X-Ray Observatory, NASA’s Payload Operations
Center – the science operations center for the International Space Station
located at the Marshall Center, and other major NASA programs and
organizations.

The revamp marks the Web site’s first major redesign since it debuted in
1998.
