What:
“Unity in Freedom” is the theme for the Asian Pacific American Heritage
Month Celebration at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville,
Ala. Astronaut Eugene Trinh — who trained at the Marshall Center for his
mission on Spacelab on STS-50 in 1992 — will speak. The celebration will
include cultural dances performed in authentic fashions and traditional
foods from Vietnam, Korea, Thailand and other Asian countries.
Who:
Trinh will talk about perspectives of research in space — from a ground
laboratory, in space and behind a desk. He is the director of the Physical
Sciences Division at NASA Headquarters.
