NOTE TO EDITORS: Bay Area news media representatives are invited to
an informal, 30-minute media opportunity with new NASA Administrator
Sean O’Keefe on Friday, Feb. 1, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. PST at
NASA Ames Research Center. Reporters wishing to attend must notify
Ann Hutchison at 650/604-3039 no later than 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1.
To reach NASA Ames, take the Moffett Field exit off U.S. 101 and
drive east to Moffett Federal Airfield. Inform the security guard at
the main gate that you are here to attend the NASA Administrator’s
media opportunity and receive directions to the Administration
Building, N-200. Media representatives must bring a photo I.D. and
press credentials. Please plan to arrive at the main gate no later
than 12:15 p.m. and meet in the Administration Building lobby no
later than 12:30 p.m. PST. Parking will be available on Arnold Drive
and on Bush Circle to the right of the Administration Building.

NASA’s new Administrator, Sean O’Keefe, will make his first visit to
Ames Research Center on Friday, Feb. 1, as he continues his tour of
the Agency’s 10 field centers.

O’Keefe will be available to speak informally with news media
representatives from 12:45 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. PST in the
Administration Building (Bldg. N-200) Committee Room.

O’Keefe was sworn in Dec. 21, 2001 as the agency’s 10th
administrator, following his confirmation by the U.S. Senate on Dec.
20, 2001. President George W. Bush nominated him for the position on
Nov. 14, 2001.
