Dear Friend:

I would like to invite you to a Space Transportation Association
breakfast
with Mr. Ralph Thomas III, Associate Administrator for Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization at NASA Headquarters, on
Wednesday, June
20th 2001.

Mr. Thomas will discuss "The Criticality of Small Businesses on
NASA Space
Missions."

Small Business participation on NASA programs represents over
thirty
percent of NASA’s business portfolio and play critical roles on key
NASA
programs like the International Space Station, Mars Pathfinder,
QuikScat,
and the "John Glenn Launch," to name a few. Mr. Thomas will
provide little
known insight to the big contributions small businesses make to the
agency
in multiple facets from maintaining Congressional support,
expanding
industry partnerships, and going global.

The Breakfast meeting will be held at the Capitol Hill Club, 300
First
Street, S.E., Washington, DC.  The Capitol South Metro station
is located
across the street for your convenience.  Coffee will be served
at 7:30 a.m.
for early arrivals.

There will be a $20.00 fee for all STA members and a $30.00 fee for
all
non-members.  We ask that you send a check in advance or pay at
the door.  If
you do plan to attend, reply by email to STA4Space@aol.com , or
