WASHINGTON — Susan Gordon, the director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency’s information operations center, will become the deputy director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the NGA announced in a Nov. 6 press release.
The NGA collects, analyzes and distributes geospatial information to the military and intelligence community. Gordon replaces Mike Rodrigue, who had been the agency’s deputy director since June 2012. Rodrigue is retiring Dec. 31.
“Sue’s reputation across the intelligence community is without peer,” Robert Cardillo, the newly appointed NGA director, said in the release. “She is widely admired for her leadership, partnership and mission delivery. I could not be more excited to welcome her.”
Gordon previously served as the CIA’s director for support and director of special activities.
