Seamus Tuohy, the director of space systems at Draper Laboratory in Cambridge, Mass., will take over as executive director of the Von Braun Center for Science & Innovation (VCSI) effective June 10, the Huntsville, Ala.-based not-for-profit research and development center has announced.

Marty Kress, VCSI’s founding executive director and a former deputy director of NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, is stepping down to accept a new position at Ohio State University.

VCSI was established in 2006 by the Huntsville business, university, research and government community. Former NASA Marshall Space Flight Center Director Dave King, now with Huntsville-based Dynetics, chairs the group’s board of directors.
